LGBTQ+ Wedding Photography in the Hudson Valley & Catskills

Eric and Mark got married at Roxbury Barn and Estate, tucked into the Catskill Mountains, in the quaint town of Roxbury and it was the perfect setting for them. Rustic, warm, and a little wild. Their whole day had this relaxed, joyful energy where nobody was performing for the camera. They just lived it.

And the host, Casper, is more than just a host; he becomes your friend. Eric and Mark stayed so present with their friends and family all day. During the ceremony, they had guests stand up from their seats to read something to the couple, poems, letters, verses, which led to plenty of happy tears.

The reception kicked off with a surprise announcement from the couple that had guests in tears, then screaming with excitement. Weddings like this don't come around often enough, but they should. Couples who let go of the script, who let the day unfold instead of choreographing it, end up with the most memorable celebrations. They're memorable for us too. Eric and Mark's wedding will always hold a special place in our hearts.

I've been photographing LGBTQ+ weddings across the Hudson Valley and Catskills for years now, and I've been an ally even longer. I can't imagine a world without the freedom for any two people to openly love each other.
