There's no better way to spend a beautiful spring weekend than photographing a wedding in the Hamptons, with the sea breeze drifting in off the ocean and knowing it’s going to be a perfect day.
The weekend started at LaRonde Beach Club for the rehearsal dinner. It was laid back, relaxed, and a perfect way to begin the weekend.
The wedding morning began the way the best wedding days often do, at home. Laura got ready in her family home surrounded by her parents, family, closest friends, and Jonny.
Jonny's side added a special thread to the day: he and his family had traveled from the UK for the wedding, bringing their own traditions and warmth into the celebration. There's something moving about watching two families from opposite sides of the Atlantic come together for a single day; it gives you the sense that this wedding was as much a reunion as it was a beginning.
Laura and Jonny are college sweethearts; their relationship built over years of milestones long before they said "I do." That history was evident all day, in the easy way they moved around each other, in their glances exchanged during portraits.
Westhampton provided the perfect backdrop for it all. From those intimate getting-ready portraits at Laura's home, to a heartfelt ceremony under clear blue skies, to a reception full of dancing late into the night, every part of Laura and Jonny's Westhampton Country Club wedding told the story of two people, and two families, who've always belonged together.
